The cost of a 3 bedroom semi-detached house in 1937 was £545 with a deposit of £25 compared to 2007 with an average house price for a semi-detached house of £220,271.

The final paragraph of the agents particulars was spot on referring to rapid rises of wages and materials and the fact that it would soon be quite impossible to construct houses at this figure!!
