Extension, Post Graduate Medical Centre, Princess Royal Hospital, Haywards Heath

Site

• Third floor extension onto a flat roof and balcony.
• Commenced on site in winter 2004.
• New steel work to the roof structure had to be craned in at weekends with a 200 tonne crane.
• Practical completion was achieved on 1 July 2005 slightly ahead of schedule and on budget.
• The official opening of the centre was held on 1 November 2005.

Accommodation

• Two new seminar rooms to seat 150 people.
• Can be used as one large seminar room by opening up the dividing sliding doors.
• Students can watch live operations on the projector screens with links to five operating theatres.
• Additional office accommodation has also been created on a former roof balcony/terrace.

Extension, Day Surgery Unit, Bexhill Hospital

Site

• Very restricted site to the rear of the main hospital building.
• The design incorporates a new single storey extension for the operating theatre and a single storey corridor extension to the main facade of the hospital building. This allows day surgery trolley's to ciculate throughout the new Day Surgery Unit.

• New operating theatre to HBN 52.
• Refurbished ward accommodation.
• Refurbished ancillary accommodation.
• New plant and air conditioning.

Sussex Rehabilitation Centre

• Relocation from Southlands Hospital.
